    It would be midnight on a warm summer night, I would dial up online after the parents went to bed, fire up Red Alert, hit multiplayer, and be greeted with that westwood chat client & that comforting soundclip of after successfully logging in "Welcome to Westwood." Does anyone in this community have these soundclips still? Thanks!

    How / is it possible to play the Red Alert 2 (vanilla) campaign with units from Yuris Revenge?

    For Red Alert 3 there is a mod adding the uprising units. I think it's called Upheavel.

    Is there some similar thing for Red Alert 2?

    I would love fighting against the Sowjets with battle fortresses to defend Einstein for example.

    I played from the first red alert when i was 7 to 8 until they closed the servers on yuri's many years later. Ive been in search of a game like the online play since.

    Can someone help a brother out and divulge some tips for defeating that wench general leang?

    Currently unable to defeat her on hard mode with general alexander.

    It's all going well up until she hits me with all three general promotion attacks, carpet bomb, EMP etc.

    I can build 6 particle cannons and attack her base, super weapons and command centres but I just cannot build them quick enough prevent the promotion attacks.

    Anyone got any advice as she's currently ruining my quarantine?

    Where is Tiberian Sun??

    I had a scan and couldn't find it, where is the original Tiberian Sun? I looked on Origin/EA/Steam, through this sub-reddit, I did have a disc ages ago which was a 'best of' collection but it didn't work properly on Windows 7. It's not on GOG either :(

    Tiberian Dusk (a fanfic retconning C&C4)

    Hey everyone! I've been slowly working on a fanfic that rewrote the history after the 4th C&C game. With all the hype of the remasters I convinced myself now as a good time to sit down and finish it.
    This is the first time I've ever written such a full story. The book is ~94k words. I'd like to think I can piece together something that is entertaining but you never know.
    Here is a short synopsis:
    The ending of the Third Tiberian War left the Earth ravaged. GDI had been pushed to its absolute limits by the Scrin invasion. Nod laid broken and fracturing. The Scrin had failed thanks to the efforts of a brilliant GDI commander, but many wondered if humanity could ever recover.
    7 years later and there was a brittle hope. GDI had continued to harass Nod strongholds unwilling to let them ever regain power. Base after base was abandoned as Nod retreated deep into stealthed territory. Tiberium resonance programs had started pushing back Tiberium erosion. Some red zones were even downgraded to yellow.
    But Kane was not finished yet. He had never been closer to his plans completion. Ascension. The 4th Tiberian War would start not by his hand, but by a true Scrin invasion force. Could GDI thwart the Scrin again? Would Nod choose humanity over ideology? How did Kane's vision fit into it all? Follow soldiers from GDI and Nod as they are plunged into the hell.

    The remaster should be an update, not a new product

    This post may get a little spicy, so let me start with saying I absolutely support the team making the remaster and look forward to its release.

    Like many of you guys I have been eagerly awaiting the release of the remasters coming out, but this time it doesn't feel right. I loved the games and bought all of them in disc form from the first Command and Conquer up through Generals, and then purchased all of them again in disc form when the first decade collection was released in 2006, and then purchased again on Origin when the first decade came with C&C 3, RA3, and C&C 4. I've spent a good amount of money, but I love the games.

    I love the games, and The First Decade Origin Edition, even with all of the issues it has. I have found some workarounds to get the older games running, but not optimally, and I am sure I am not alone in this. Many others have been frustrated trying to get the games to work on modern PCs. The community has been begging EA to make patches for years, only to have been left out in the dark up until now.

    The new release of a remaster is EA realizing they stand to make profit. They want to make money rather than make things right. The remasters shouldn't be stand alone products, they should be updates to the already existing games on Origin. They have made plenty of money from people purchasing the original copies several times over like I have.

    Again, I am happy about the remaster overall, but not happy with how it is being released. I wish the team all the best, I am just bummed I have to pay again for a game I own 3 times over already.

    Edit: I don't know why so many people are defending EA, a company known to nickle and dime their customers, release broken products, lie about what will be delivered, implement shady gambling practices to children, make sequels that are progressively worse, buys studios just to shut them down a few years later, refusing refunds, cancelling pre-orders, and treats their workers poorly. This is not Westwood anymore.
