C&C Generals, no dvd drive

So I've got a tiny problem; I really want to play C&C Generals again, but I do not have a DVD drive in my laptop.

I have the disks, the code but I cannot install the game due to the lack of a dvd drive within my laptop. It seems Steam or EA doesn't have the game in the store. Does anybody have any idea on how to install C&C Generals on my laptop?

LAN mode works and then doesn't?

Hey guys need some help here. I like playing with my son's. We have 2 computers, 2 copies of the game so two different sign-ins. We try to play LAN mode and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't here's the rub. So we have one computer host (either desktop or laptop doesn't matter) and the other tries to join. Sometimes we see the game in the lobby, other times we don't. The times we do we could play a game and try to host another (not exiting) and all the sudden we can't "see" each other at all. We've made no changes to any config, it's just like all the sudden the computers aren't talking to each other. No antivirus/firewall short of the windows one, same windows 10 OS, same network name? I'm confused thoughts? (Posted in EA help as well)

Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Continue Mod: Struggling to figure out how to start the campaign

I have the Continue installed and when I launch it I get the splash screen indicating that it's loaded.

I am able to play any Challenge Mode with no issue. I am also able to play Skirmish Maps perfectly fine. But when I try and start a GLA, USA or China Campaign all that happens is that I end up playing the regular Generals campaign but now with Zero Hour + Continue Mod troops/vehicles unlocked. This seems like a glitch because the Generals Powers also don't seem to be fully available.

I have seen footage online of the actual Continue Mod campaign but it doesn't seem to be available for me. Can someone explain what I am doing wrong here?

Me and my brother occasionally play red alert 2 yuri's revenge, and mental omega. His strategy usually every single time is to create an overwhelming amount of numbers and almost "Zerg" rush me. What is the best defense :)
