Ok so it's been many many years since the last time I played generals, the last time I tried to play I had a lot of problems so I just gave up. What's the best way to play in win 10? I heard buying the ultimate collection is the safest method

I just played my first game and...holy crap, it feels like it's almost finished. But I've only played one skirmish game so the cracks may not be obvious to me yet. The only major omission so far is the absence of AI difficulty options - there is only one. Also building placement is really fiddly but I don't know if this is a "bug" or just keeping it consistent with the original game.

I have poked around their Github and can't really tell what state it's in...is it months from "version 1.0", or years...or more? Or is it just some random contributors hacking away at this with really no end in sight? I have no sense of how far along this project is. I'm not sure if I should be excited or temper my expectations...I mean this could end up being abandoned with no notice.

Anyway it's amazing to be playing RA2 using a modern engine and all the OpenRA refinements. It certainly feels more mature than most hobby mod projects. At first glance, this looks like the best thing ever...!
