Looking for single player content for Red Alert 2 + Yuri's Revenge

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 08:43 AM PST

I've been listening to the soundtracks again and now I want to dive back in - the trouble is that I've already played the single player campaigns to hell and I'm not looking to get thwomped online by multiplayer vets.

Are there any cool mods or fan-made campaigns for RA2+YR? I have The First Decade if that means anything.

C&C Remastered: Animations - Please Make Sure They Meet 21st-Century Standards

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 04:00 PM PST

    Dear developers,

I am absolutely excited about the upcoming C&C Remastered. I will make sure to get it on launch day and I will probably finish everything within a week—that is how much I am looking forward to the release. For me, as a C&C veteran of the 90s, it is a dream come true.

But, after watching the short gameplay videos/demos that you put up on the official website, I am very concerned about one thing: the animations. I am completely fine with this remastered version being in 2D and generally following the graphics style of the originals. I don't need fancy 3D graphics or a complete remake of the environments. HOWEVER, the current super-clunky mid-90s animations really, really bother me: it is really no fun at all anymore to look at these animations and they will absolutely make the game world less authentic and the game less fun to me. I guess, as a kid in the 90s I did not really care, most likely because I didn't know anything much better, but today these animations would really break the atmosphere for me. I think it will have a negative impact on the extent to which I and others can enjoy these remastered versions.

So please make sure to have some updated, smooth animations for all units or at least the in-game option to switch between traditional and updated, smooth animations (in case anyone wants the old ones to be included). I believe that for a lot of people it will really make a big difference to how enjoyable it is to watch this game while playing. I also think that this factor will be really important when trying to sell the game to a new audience of people who have not yet played these games when they came out in the 90s.

Thank you so much for all the work you put into this product! I appreciate it.

    C&C 3 1.0 balance

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:26 AM PST

Does anyone know of a way to run C&C3 TW using the 1.0 version instead of the 1.9 version, to fix the major balance issues when playing the SP campaign?

I've been slowly advancing through the story and barely scraping by on more than a few missions but it's been crazy difficult.

I've found one method of doing so but it involved nocd cracks and other workarounds I'd greatly prefer to avoid.

I do have bibber's fixed launchers, but maybe I'm doing something wrong as the -runver1.0 command doesn't seem to be passing through properly.
