Do we have any idea how well the remaster has been selling? Posted: 23 Jun 2020 01:02 PM PDT I am really hoping they remaster RA2 and generals, but I'm sure that is all dependent on sales of this remaster first. [link] [comments]

I just had two games crash and count as losses, and then a game that I WON count as a loss as well Posted: 23 Jun 2020 02:46 PM PDT Just wondering if anyone else is having similar problems. I'm playing in the 1v1 ladders for Red Alert 1 in the remaster. [link] [comments]
Nod helicopter attacking in fog of war without scouting Posted: 23 Jun 2020 07:35 AM PDT I'm starting to see more players utilize this tactic in competitive quickmatch, it's an exploitation of a game mechanic. Basically a nod player can build 5 attack helicopters at the beginning of the game after building a barrack, and send his helicopters into the fog of war, force attack the ground, it will reveal the ground around the target. Since we don't have starting units anymore so it's hard to even scout your enemy's going mass air so this tactic basically can not be countered unless your opponent screws up. There are a few potential solutions to this:
Anyway, this is definitely a game breaking exploit that needs to be fix ASAP. [link] [comments]

Update broke my game, any fixes? Posted: 23 Jun 2020 09:01 AM PDT I have not been able to play since the update. Worked fine before it. Neither game will launch from the launcher, and the map editor freezes on launch. I can launch client G directly but it does not play intro videos or have main menu music theme. If I try to launch a mission (saved game, skirmish or select mission) it just infinitely loads while displaying tool tips. I jumped on the discord and a member had me try the below steps but no dice. I tried making a shortcut and running both with GAME_INDEX=0 TIBERIANDAWN and ClientG.exe GAME_INDEX=0 REDALERT. This method gets me intro videos and theme music but still will not load a mission. I have tried multiple clean installs and had steam verify the integrity of the cache. Every time I do that it states two files are missing and will reacquire but nothing changes. Posted: 23 Jun 2020 12:38 PM PDT The fire animations are a super classic, but in my opinion they do feel a bit dated. In a hypothetical scenario, would you have preferred they updated destruction animations like what was done in AoE 2:DE or do you prefer them as they are now? For reference, here is what AoE2:DE did: https://youtu.be/BLZxY42MtMI Obviously it's not a fair comparison because AoE2 is more comporable to RA2 and TS (plus the cost and effort of making those animations was probably ginormous), but food for thought nonetheless. Posted: 23 Jun 2020 01:08 AM PDT I just rediscovered Renegade X and it's come a long way. If they'd slapped a 'Remastered' on it, I'd have almost no problem believing it was the real deal. Plays great, fun little additions and looks gorgeous. Could use more players. Come join! Oh and it's getting a Tiberian Sun makeover this fall. [link] [comments] |
