Wanted to share it with you guys.

    1. My first question would be since you remastered the soundtrack, and included some Post Game music for Red Alert & Tiberian Dawn such as (Grinder) RA2 (Command & Conquer) Renegade. Is this a tease for future projects? a lot of the community are buzzed for a Tiberian Sun/Red Alert 2 remaster. Any Thoughts on this, would you like to see these games remastered also and would you also remaster the music?

It wasn't a tease, it's bonus content based on the live setlist I performed with The Tiberian Sons.

    1. What was the reaction like within petroglyph games when you found out EA wanted the games remastered? Were you on board originally? or was it like we can't do the game/music without Frank?

I was surprised, but we were all excited about the prospect, and it was surreal to focus on it in detail again after 25 years.

    1. Without being biased :) what is your personal go to command & Conquer game to play when you have time? Are you more fond of the classics? or do you find time to play the more modern games Such as Tiberian Wars/Red Alert 3

As far as just playing them, C&C Tiberian Dawn, Firestorm, & Yuri's Revenge were my favs in the series.

Is C&C remastered soundtrack available to buy separately?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:03 PM PDT

    Hi

The remastered soundtrack doesn't appear to be available to buy anywhere. I can't find it on any of the music streaming services either. I know it's been uploaded to YouTube, but I'm looking for a higher quality audio format (AAC or OGG at least, FLAC ideally). Does anyone know if it's currently available or is there any future plans to release it?

    Thanks

Man is this game harder than it was when I was a kid or is it just me?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:14 AM PDT

Is my mind becoming old and feeble? I remember running through this game when I was 8. I can barely get past GDI mission 7 right now. Every time I kill the harvester, they make 2 new ones like it's nothing. I'm frustrated af. My infantry either gets run over or flamethrowed. The flamethrowers fuck my vehicles up too. But I am filled with Nostalgia and having hella fun.

Even my dad (Hasn't played video games since his early 40s) wants a copy on his computer.

A list of how having multiple war factories or conyards influences build times.

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 05:40 AM PDT

This is for RED ALERT only.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ncLXg880DBE_ScMcXV_A8I0DBzzEvnIpb8bdMDAE8mY/edit#gid=1564613954

Here is the spreadsheet. Keep in mind that that the seconds calculated count for max speed gameplay. But that's not of importance for obvious reasons as it's just the multiplier itself that's interesting.

I'll quote u/RA_Fordy here with the most important things you can get out of this spreadsheet.

    • Light Tanks build more than twice as fast with 2 War Factories

    • Medium Tanks build more than 3x as fast with 3 Wars

    • Medium Tanks build 5x as fast on 4 Wars

    • Light and Medium Tanks build at the same speed with 3 or 4 Wars

    • Heavy and Medium tanks build at the same speed on 5 Wars

    • Knocking just 1 building down from a player with Max Speed can slow their production speed in-half.

EDIT: It seems that those multipliers only count when aftermath units are disabled. Else 2 x production is the limit.

EA Play tomorrow, possible C&C announcement?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 03:37 PM PDT

EA's not-E3 show is tomorrow, and I'm hoping for the next announcement for Tib Sun and RA2 remasters. On Steam alone, the C&C remaster sold over 45,000 copies within the first two days. I'm sure Origin pulled in at least a few thousand sales as well.

Since EA has been pretty positive about how the Remaster has been doing, I feel like it's a good sign they at least broke even.

Where does the Command and Conquer franchise go next?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 01:25 PM PDT

Clearly the world wants more C&C, the reception of the remaster is a good barometer of that. I think it would be neat if they released a new C&C game using the remaster engine. Just plain and simple gameplay, good music, and good sound. No fancy 3D models, or crazy new gameplay mechanics. Might help keep the price down too?

I feel like the Tiberium saga is completely done. There isn't much story left to tell after C&C:4. It got pretty crazy sci-fi and kind of jumped the shark. It's too bad, because I can always use more Kane. Just not sure how you tell that story unless you retcon C&C3 and C&C4.

Is there any story left in the Red Alert saga? But maybe too much of this story has been told also? Maybe more funky things where the Soviets mess up the timeline.

A new franchise? Maybe another alternate reality like Red Alert? I like what they did with the Wolfenstein franchise: an alternate reality where German won WW2. Maybe C&C could do something like that? I like the idea of it either being modern, or in the past, as it helps avoid the crazy sci-fi elements that ruined C&C.

PSA: You can replicate an ATTACK MOVE manually in red alert.

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 04:49 AM PDT

For anyone that doesn't know, there is a way to replicate a sort of attack move in red alert. The mechanic is called GQing.

Surprisingly, it includes using the hotkeys G + Q.

G is the hotkey for Guard mode.

Q is the hotkey for waypoints.

When pressing G on a selected group, every unit of said group will attack an enemy unit within their guard range, which is slightly longer than the normal attack range.

If you've issued that guard order, you can then hold the Q button and move your tanks around, as you normally can when clicking an individual enemy unit and then use Q to move around.

Keep in mind that the enemy units that were initially targeted by your individual units using guard mode, are the only ones who are probably gonna die. Your tanks won't automatically search for a new target when they killed their original target. They will also not follow the original target when they get out of range.

So what you wanna do is always pressing G again when you can see most of your tanks being in range of enemy units. Because every unit that is not in said range, WILL NOT attack anything but just drive to the waypoint you've set with Q afterwards. So you wanna press the initial G, when most of your tanks are in range of something, then use Q-waypoints to cut their path and keep most of your tanks in range of enemy tanks and everytime you feel that only a small percetage of your units is actually firing, press G again.

This technique is most effective when tank bubbles are more spread out. Because if you click an individual enemy tank, when most of your tanks aren't in range of this enemy tank, you will effectively lose damage. You can combat this by GQing.

Also it's pretty much most effective in tank counts beyond 20. Because that's when they start spreading more. And when the count is lower it's mostly favourable to keep your tanks close to each other and try erasing single tanks faster to reduce enemys firepower faster.

This is why GQing is mostly used for defense when a large group of tanks is trying to go past you to get into your base. You'll find that the normal Q-clicking will not save you from losing a lot of buildings. GQing can help with that.

Any questions on this? Feel free to ask.

    Did I overdo it :D

So what was Yuri's political motivation and end goal? There had to have been a reason besides controlling the entire world.

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 04:49 AM PDT

We know he was Romanov's advisor prior to the war and was seen with Stalin. Clearly he is from the Soviet Union although it is mentioned his "ancestral home" is in Transylvania which would be in Romania which was under Soviet occupation for some time. He also has a tattoo on his forhead that appears to Hebrew in origin. In the Allied campaign in YR he mentions fighting capitalism in one of his broadcasts meaning he is still quite possibly communist. His main infantry unit is called the Initiate. Initiating into what? Why do they talk about being enlightened? Why does Yuri use slaves when he could just build robots? Why go to the moon after mind controlling earth? How are his troops recruited? Are they brainwashed or do they just walk through their war-torn hometown to the local giant head and sign up?

Edit: Also the whole grinders in Hollywood thing. Why grind down thousands of brainwashed civilians? The breifing said it was "to fund his war effort" like wtf? Who is going to buy millions of pounds of chopped up human flesh and organs...or was "funding his war effort" a euphemism for getting genetic material for another nefarious purpose?

Red Alert 3 Empire Balance Changes

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 09:10 AM PDT

PSA: Toggling aftermath units will also toggle at least some aftermath patches.

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:12 AM PDT

I'm not sure if I'm a fan of this.

Can we have aftermath units in the game but still the 2 building production limit removed?

Apparently building a third production, be it CY, War Factory or Navals doesn't do anything to your build times anymore.

I was wondering why CY-ing didn't work occassionally lol.

It is adding a complete layer of skill to the game and should be kept in for the fact alone that it's the only variety next to the constant tanking.

Please disable this for quickmatches. I guess it might even get disabled in the coming patch since this little checkbox is probably just the same setting for quickmatch. And while it adds units, it also changes the game.

This alone will make light tanks the absolute meta forever since they're the only unit that benefit from double War Factory for more than all others. x2.25 for lights and x2 for others. Other units will only start to shine with higher production count.

Does that mean turrets do lower damage without this checkbox enabled aswell? It'd be interesting to see the exact differences between clicking that checkbox or not.

[Tiberian Dawn Remastered] Any tips on defending Engineers?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 12:43 PM PDT

    Hello everyone!

I`m currently struggling to find a way to deal with engineer rush all the time in multiplayer. I try to focus fire them with humvees once they get out of APCs but generally they respond too slow and I end up being forced to sell my buildings. Does any of you have any tips on how to kill engineers fast?

    Thanks in advance
