    [Quick reminder] In Red Alert 1 it is possible to destroy trees, just like in RA2, it just takes longer.

    That's just a quick reminder, I thought initially it's not possible but in one mission, the AI landed near my base and started shooting a tree, blocking a passage, and that showed me, that it's possible. If you hover over a tree and get a "Tree" info. You can nearly always destroy it.

    So, why am I telling you this? Most of you all know, Red Alert 2 is full of hidden paths, blocked sometimes here and there, or only useable if you save / conquer a special unit. Trees are sometimes the blockers. In RA2 it takes 3-5 tank shells IIRC to destroy a tree.

    RA1 needs way, way, way more. BUT it works.

    BUT you should. For example the allied mission, where you are supposed to take out the nuclear facility. If you start attacking the base, a timer starts. You got 60 minutes to conquer to outsourced HQ. Painful because it's a strong base. And the timer afterwards goes on, in a mission inside.

    And here comes the clue. At the top north of the map, is a small passage. behind an ore field. Around 3-4 squares width only at at the absolute borderof the map. And some trees of that passage are not undestroyable enviroment, they can be destroyed.

    If you take a small army, maybe 10-12 tanks, 5 troop carriers with a few engineers, rocket soldiers etc. you can easily reach the outsourced HQ, which you are supposed to capture, in under 5 minutes of the actual timer going down.

    You need to find the destroyable trees inside the passage, by hovering over it. Then, after its free you drive all your units through. Between you and your goal are only now 1 tesla coil, 1 flame tower and a concrete wall with maybe some infantry and some mines on the ground. Take the tanks, chrush the coil, the wall and drive through. Use your transporters to unload infantry and swarm the area to trigger the mines, capture the HQ and voila. Mission done without even touching the enemy base

    I'm currently in the follow-up mission with over 50 minutes of initially 60 left.

    So I've tried to play a quickmatch in Tiberium Dawn since shortly after launch, and I always get the same error. It MIGHT on occasion ask if I want to stay in queue to be matched to ANYBODY because it couldn't find a player (at PEAK POPULATION) but in the end it always gives me this error: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2155438717 Haven't tried in Red Alert yet, but I would like to play some matches in Tiberium Dawn. This is proving to be the biggest issue I have with the remaster.
