Renegade X: Firestorm, A free Tiberian Sun FPS/TPS/RTS Posted: 08 Jul 2020 07:22 AM PDT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GL-sKU3wrgY This is an expansion that will release in fall this year, with much more refined gameplay and slower-paced combat compared to the original Renegade x (which is a community driven game released in 2014). Including almost all of the skirmish units in Tiberian Sun: Firestorm. EDIT: this is a pre-alpha gameplay...more details in base interiors, animations, etc..are added to the game in recent versions [link] [comments]

Finished all the TD mission on the remaster last night and... Posted: 08 Jul 2020 12:31 PM PDT Yeah I played on casual mostly because I have a huge backlog of games I want to get to. I have to say though, I had so much fun with the single player content, more so than when I was in middle school and beat the game on PS1 with cheats. I was also a little surprised to see only 0.6% of people have the achievement for doing this. Playing through all the missions though, I feel the Nod missions were more difficult but more unique/diverse/creative than the GDI missions. What say you all? [link] [comments]
Posted: 08 Jul 2020 05:54 AM PDT Edit: should have specified the laser beam itself - the structure looks great! Is it just me or does it look totally out of place? Everything else is done perfectly so when you press space they look the exact same - the terain, units, debris - the villages are a flawless recreation- but the obelisk laser is the only thing that feels so wrong i know im not describing it well but i didnt think a crappy phone quality video recording would go down well. Slow the speed down to lowest and compare the two. It looks like someone got a scissors and cut a laser out of a comic book and added a batman pow zap to both the tip of the obelisk and the impact. The orginal had neither it just fired a strsight laser line and infantry would burn now they go zap in a cartoon explosion with a zap effect coming from the tip. The orginal laser is just a straight up beam that fires and like everything in the remaster and the orginal it looks and feels real with corners / edges / defination but the remaster laser looks like its from a whole other game or a animated tv show it looks really cartooney and out of place to me. Im only making this to get a consensus. If not many people are bothered with the laser effect its cool - we can hold out for a mod - but if enough people agree the devs might patch out the zap / pow effect from the tip and make an updated version of the classic obelisk blast. Peace. Through. Obelisks. [link] [comments]

Just bought the game to support the Devs Posted: 07 Jul 2020 09:25 PM PDT Big thank you to all who keep the game alive. As much as I'm a RA2 player, I never played the first one's. It's a bit different but I'm still anticipating the release of RA2. You got my support ✌🏻 [link] [comments]
Custom single player maps for remastered? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 04:42 PM PDT I am having trouble finding them. In "User maps," I can find a couple single player mission maps but its mostly for multiplayer... is that because there just arent many yet? Or am I doing something wrong? thx [link] [comments]
Where are the hue/constrast/saturation sliders from the original not present in remastered? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 12:02 PM PDT Just wondering. Not entirely essential, but would be fun to fool around with, especially for screenshots. [link] [comments]

Tib Wars/Kane's Wrath mod that lets you play the campaigns as different factions? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 02:34 PM PDT I'd love to go through the GDI campaign as Nod or Scrin, and vice versa. Seems like it'd be very fun and introduce new challenges. I've done it several times for Generals since that game is easy to mod. Are there any mods that allow this for CNC 3? [link] [comments]

Posted: 08 Jul 2020 01:47 AM PDT Who played 8-Bit Invaders from Petroglyph? I saw it's only like 0,30 € on the playstation store now. Fuck it ill buy it no matter if it's good or not. Can't complain for prices like this. [link] [comments]
Where were you during the C&C renaissance of the Second Decade? Posted: 08 Jul 2020 08:00 AM PDT I'm pretty stoked for Tiberian Sun to be remastered, especially the soundtracks. Also looking forward to the Renegade X expansion this fall. Edit: Third decade, I mean. The Second Decade never happened. [link] [comments]
Tiberian Sun REMAKE discussion; versus REMASTER, as well as talking to the Iron Harvest folks. Posted: 08 Jul 2020 12:26 PM PDT Tiberian sun was probably the hallmark champion of atmosphere. I'd love for a Remaster of Tib. Sun, but the game also deserves a remake with new tech and features that they either couldn't do, or were cut for release. What would of "Perfect" Tib. Sun of looked like? Active flora and fauna? Day/night and weather cycles? Stolen Tech? Naval Warfare? Direct Terrain Manipulation? We have momentum going. Let's keep it going. And let's hope that the Iron Harvest lads can help RTS claw it's way back. I'd even be fine with the remake/remaster still using the same assets; I just want to see how far they can take the RTS genre now.Tib. War's data files were a nice series of collectibles, as was it's mission objective highlighting and other EVA factors. RA2 had cheeky litle mini-cutscenes whenever it introduced and explained a new unit. Stuff like that is what I would want to see out of a Remake. The cutscenes don't really acknowledge the tiberium or it's lifeforms in the original TS. A bonus mission set like with RA1/TD where you are a researcher for either faction given a small force to get more fluff on these critters would be neat. The "tutorial" could be disguised as the faction selection, as well.SC2 may have brought some oddities to the table; but they set a precedent for ideas of what could be done in the campaign. Upgrade your Cyborgs with Chem-sprayers or Lasers? Yes please! I feel as the founding fathers of RTS games, Petroglyph should reach out to any aspiring RTS dev and give them a Nod; After all: [link] [comments] |
