September Patch and Map Editor Posted: 10 Sep 2020 11:15 AM PDT Fellow Command & Conquer fans, It's been a little over three months since we launched the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection and we continue to be humbled by the response from players around the world. It's been wonderful to see Command & Conquer back in the mainstream conversation, and the growing community even more engaged in the long-term success of the franchise. Over the past three months our full-time focus has been on supporting the Remastered Collection. We've done our best to listen to the community, and deliver upon some of the top requested items in a transparent and collaborative manner. Next week we aim to launch another Major Update for the C&C Remastered Collection. The focus of this update is also on community requests, including a Beacon system to ping your allies and displaying key information on the Multiplayer loading screen, amongst a handful of quality of life improvements and bug fixes. We'll also aim to reset the leaderboards and incorporate some Matchmaking Rating and timing adjustments to address community feedback. With this patch, we finally feel the C&C Remastered Collection will have achieved the vision we had for the game when we first started development. As such, in our spirit of transparency, we wanted to let the community know we anticipate this will be the last patch for the game. To prepare for this transition, our goal throughout development was to create an ecosystem where the community would have the resources to take the Remastered Collection even further. Within this goal we released the DLLs and source code under the GPL v3.0, embraced community content with the Steam Workshop, and incorporated LAN Play with modding support. Today we want to add one more ingredient to that mix, which is the release of the Map Editor under the GPL v3.0 as well. The Map Editor source code is available now on Github at the link below, and will be included in the root game folder once the upcoming patch goes live. With these assets available to the community, we hope the Remastered Collection and other community projects will continue to thrive for years to come. https://github.com/electronicarts/CnC_Remastered_Collection We're then soon approaching a special date in franchise history, with September 26th marking the official 25th Anniversary of Tiberian Dawn. We've of course been highlighting this anniversary throughout the project, but hope you will all come together for a special week to celebrate this franchise which we all love. Thanks so much for your ongoing support and looking forward to the rest of September. Cheers, Jim Vessella Jimtern This announcement and roadmap may change as we listen to community feedback and continue developing and evolving our Live Service & Content. We will always strive to keep our community as informed as possible. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Sep 2020 11:19 AM PDT I love Command & Conquer remastered and Command & Conquer Red Alert remastered I have over 800+ hours played of them. I want Command & Conquer Tiberiun Sun, Command & Conquer Red Alert 2, and Command & Conquer Renegade remastered. Command & Conquer remastered on Steam sold over 1.3 million copies. I am pretty sure that is enough for Electronic Arts (EA). I am sure covid-19 may of delayed any announcements, but do you guys think Electronic Arts (EA) will announce Command & Conquer Tiberiun Sun and Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 remastered in 2021? Posted: 10 Sep 2020 01:37 PM PDT You used to be able to drive a harvester on to the repair bay and sell it, the mouse pointer still shows the green dollar sign (changes from gold) but it doesn't sell. When was this implemented? I would like to know the reasoning. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Sep 2020 01:36 PM PDT Hello everybody! Im a SC2 player who is thinking of getting Command and Conquer Remastered and Im wondering how the multiplayer side of it is. Is there a 1v1 mode? Is there a ranked system in place (ladder like)? And maybe the most important, are there enough people that plays multiplayer so that you can find matches without waiting too long? I remember playing the game back when it was new and was having a blast back then, just afraid there wont be people to play with/against. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Cryowolf | Command & Conquer Review (Spoilers) Posted: 10 Sep 2020 01:06 PM PDT https://cryowolf.gg/games/command-conquer/?review Welcome Back, CommanderSeptember 10, 2020 [Version played for the purposes of this review: Command & Conquer Remastered Collection for PC on Steam] As I was but a tender three years old when it first came out for PC, I had to take everybody else's word for it, repeated to me numerous times in the following decades, that Command & Conquer was a timeless masterpiece, not seen before nor since. The defining game in real time strategy… I didn't really pay much heed to these ravings in the early years as I was otherwise occupied with the likes of Age of Empires 2, but when the remastered version got announced, my attention was gained immediately. In order to experience this icon of gaming history for myself, I signed up with the Global Defense Initiative in order to defeat the evil Nod terrorists… Are you Picking this Up? GoodA new type of mineral substance has taken hold of countless regions across the world, spreading like a pathogen and sucking the nutrients out of all plant life in its vicinity – Tiberium. The alien crystals are as dangerous as they are valuable. The Brotherhood of Nod, having cornered the Tiberium market, is gaining more and more power and resources in support of their heinous deeds. To brief you for your first mission, you are greeted by commander Sheppard, who does not waste any time putting you to work… Even though the setting remains the same, Command & Conquer's campaigns present two completely different stories – One for each faction. Before and after each mission, a short video clip or animated cutscene is played to explain the current task and move the story along. Even though the animations have aged poorly, the now legendary video clips were recorded and acted out in studio, making them fun to watch even 25 years later. The acting is over the top and amateurish, but nonetheless the 90's-esque cutscenes were my absolute favorite thing in Command & Conquer. I've looked forward to receiving another story clip after every single mission. Mercy is for the WeakThe variety in mission type was extremely impressive. If you thought they'd simply throw you into a standard game of C&C every time and just call it a mission, you couldn't be more wrong. The assigned tasks varied to a pleasantly surprising degree. Almost every mission posed a unique challenge, which kept the campaign fresh as a mint. I would however like to mention one thing here. When the mission contained the task "Defeat all enemy forces", this meant that you literally had to clear the whole map of any semblance of an enemy unit or building, often making you waste anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes searching for the last scraps of an already defeated opposing army. A very frustrating assignment, especially given the horrible unit pathing and the fact that the Brotherhood of Nod sometimes had STEALTH TANKS that didn't even show on the map. Even though this was the case for the last battle at Sarajevo also, I still want to point out that the last mission of the game felt like an deserving final battle, fought harder than any previously. In the Name of KaneIn Command & Conquer, Tiberium is the only relevant resource – Aside from power, which the various buildings need to function. All buildings, units and weapons of war are therefore dependent on how much of the valuable material one can gather. In the style we now know and expect from RTS games, various buildings give access to stronger units, which in turn will cost more to construct. And more Tiberium basically always means having a more powerful army as there is no such thing as a supply cap. The two playable factions actually vary quite heavily in many areas and are thus not perfectly balanced for multiplayer. While GDI gets to play with heavy hitters such as Mammoth Tanks and Orca Helicopters, Nod relies on more nimble units like Recon Bikes and Stealth Tanks. Ultimately, if you want to win the war against the opposing forces, the most important thing you have to do is match up certain parts of your army against the right enemy units. Unit placement can truly swing the tide of battle and is where C&C's gameplay shone the most for me. Being able to come out on top of a fight for this reason, despite being lower in pure numbers, is truly rewarding and a key reason why the gameplay is so engaging. ConclusionCommand & Conquer tells a story of two opposing forces in an alternate timeline fighting for control of various territories and a new but scarcely researched mineral – Tiberium. Its campaign offers two completely distinct narratives, which encourages at least one playthrough with each faction. Each mission is supported by video clips that were filmed in Westwood's very own studios, making the briefings very fun to watch, even 25 years after the game's initial release. Campaign missions stay fresh throughout the game due to their variability, giving you different tasks each time. However, when the mission requires you to defeat all enemy forces, it does mean ALL of them. That means that you will sometimes roam the map looking for stragglers or well-hidden enemy buildings in order to extinguish the very last of them, making you waste anywhere between 5 to 20 minutes in the process. Gameplay has since been established as standard for RTS, various buildings giving you access to stronger units which in turn cost more to build. Combat in C&C is challenging not only due to the horrible unit pathing, but also because getting the right unit match-ups in a battle can decide who comes out on top, so it's always a bit of a jockeying for position, making the whole procedure very engaging. Not only for its legendary video clips should you have encountered Command & Conquer at least once in your life if you're a fan of real-time strategy, it is also an eye-opener in regard to classic strategic gameplay – Showing us what didn't work, and what worked surprisingly well for such a pioneer of the genre. You know what doesn't make sense why did Kane allow the mammoth tank's development Posted: 10 Sep 2020 10:12 AM PDT You know what doesn't make sense is why Kane allowed the Soviets to r&d the mammoth tank knowing full well that GDI would adopt the mammoth tank especially since its a massive pain to deal with on the battlefield [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 Sep 2020 11:21 PM PDT I'm trying to build a map with ants that attack so far I can't get the ants to do anything but stand there . . . they can't be attacked and they won't attack does anyone know how to make them work? I've tried playing around with triggers , team types, etc. and I'm at a loss as to what to do. [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Sep 2020 02:16 AM PDT Isnt there a more newer game like C&C Generals or Zero hour. Bcz I used to play these back in the day and then I stopped for a long time. And now I can find no game which is as good as those 2 and those 2 are way too old and hardly have any players. [link] [comments]
