Command & Conquer I'm a decent C&C3: Kane's Wrath player, and I decided to share a meme made. I'll be posting more with time, all made with experience.

First Remaster Gameplay Trailer - Animation Suggestions

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 06:17 AM PDT

After looking closely at the recent gameplay reveal, Id like to provide a list of suggestions I feel could help improve the animations and visuals.

1.) The Nod Buggy's wheels don't give any semblance of movement. As a result, the unit appears it's being pulled across the map by some invisible force or is hovering. Perhaps give the Buggy's wheels some kind of spinning animation to give the impression it's moving.

2.) Tanks - Temporary smoke/dirt path trails from tank treads. Much like the Nod Buggy, this would give Tanks the feeling they are more grounded and less floaty.

3.) Infantry - The infantry models look great IMO. But I notice they slide at when coming to a full stop. Just something to point out. I don't know how exactly you fix that.

4.) Hand of Nod - Door opening and closing when infantry finish training. Somebody suggested this in another thread and I think it's an excellent idea! Credit to whoever suggested it!

Not that I feel old but I first played C&C in 1995

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 01:05 PM PDT

I was running a small software development team. We had C&C networked across our Sun server for 'network testing purposes' and played 4 player games in the office after hours.

What are your unpopular opinions of C&C?

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 03:45 PM PDT

    For me, I have several:

-Kane in Tiberian Dawn is the best Kane by far. He is clever, witty, and deceptive, to the point he gave us very memorable moments (like the transmission he gives to you during the GDI campaign for "Fighting for a lost cause". Gave me the chills).

-Red Alert 1's soundtrack is better than the Red Alert 2 ost. RA1 had a great mix of heavy industrial tunes while bringing some amazing bleak tracks. By comparison, RA2 is too funky and upbeat for my tastes.

-Red Alert was much better when it had a somewhat campy, but still serious and grim tone like Tib Dawn and Tib Sun. RA2 feels like a popcorny and silly remake of a cold war flick. RA3 is basically a porno disguised as a coloring book.

-General's has terrible multiplayer balancing and a garbage, shoddily-made singleplayer.

-Tiberium Wars is one of the best C&C titles, and a worthy sequel to Tiberian Sun. Not to mention, best use of tactics and higher infantry usage than "Spam tank button to win the game".

    -I actually like Silos.

-C&C3 Nod announcer is the one of best EVAs. I dig that deep, electronic voice!

-House Atreides > all other "Good guy" factions (if the Dune games are considered part of C&C).

Time to share your own. C&C mods can count as well.

    Remastered Platform Compatability

Do we know yet what platforms the Remastered package run on. I work on macOS and would love to play without a Windows partition.

    Ideas for the remstered version

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:25 AM PDT

I have some ideas for the remastered version

A map editor just like the original one (CCmap) with high textures and a trigger editor.

Being able to change controls in the game.

Being able to zoom in and out with - and + or crtl and the mouse wheel (maybe even zooming as far as zooming into one infantry).

Being able to follow a unit with F.

(If it's possible) being able to import old maps to the new game.

[World Record] C&C Red Alert 3: The Shrike & The Thorn [Hard]

Instead of a Generals remaster a full on reboot will be much better

    Posted: 25 Oct 2019 07:09 AM PDT

To start Generals was my first C&C game i remember being addicted to it finishing the challenges on Zero Hour and the campaign which to be honest was never really in to the plot until reading the lore on the wiki realized that the whole story didn't make sense.

And with the Modern Warfare reboot being released today (i only watched the story online because i don't have an 8th gen console yet) being more dark and gritty than the original trilogy this would be a perfect opportunity to reboot Generals as realistic but the prototype and experimental weapon's should remain.
