Was it that hard to make an HD Nod Bradley?

Here is a 40 minute effort rendering a free internet model.

What are your most unpopular opinions of C&C?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 03:29 PM PDT

    For me, I have several:

    • Kane in Tiberian Dawn is the best Kane by far. He is clever, witty, and deceptive, to the point he gave us very memorable moments (like the transmission he gives to you during the GDI campaign for "Fighting for a lost cause". Gave me the chills).

    • Red Alert 1's soundtrack is better than the Red Alert 2 ost. RA1 had a great mix of heavy industrial tunes while bringing some amazing bleak tracks. By comparison, RA2 is too funky and upbeat for my tastes.

    • Red Alert was much better when it had a somewhat campy, but still serious and grim tone like Tib Dawn and Tib Sun. RA2 feels like a popcorny and silly remake of a cold war flick. RA3 is basically a porno disguised as a coloring book.

    • General's has terrible multiplayer balancing and a garbage, shoddily-made singleplayer.

    • Tiberium Wars is one of the best C&C titles, and a worthy sequel to Tiberian Sun. Not to mention, different tactics and higher infantry usage than "Spam tank button to win the game".

    • Red Alert 3 would've been more better if it didn't rehash the nostalgia and plot of RA2.

    • I actually like Silos.

    • C&C3 Nod announcer is the one of best EVAs. I dig that deep, electronic voice!

    Time to share your own.

    Remaster the UI

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 10:07 AM PDT

    Hey C and C fans,

I love Red Alert. I grew up playing from the age of 5. It holds a special place in my heart and I'm super excited about the remaster! Especially because as a kid I never got the chance to play the expansions for RA1. The new graphic clips look fantastic and have me super hyped for it.

My concern is that now as the game is approaching 25 years old the UI in game is old and out dated. Having to manual scroll through the unit menu, the lack of some more updated hot keys, etc. I'll be honest I've gotten spoiled by modern RTS. Do we know if we will have the option for a more updated UI in the game? Or are we stuck with the old one? Would be people like the option to play old school and / or with minor updates to the gameplay?
