Remaster Update and First Gameplay Teaser

Thank you for this remaster, from the bottom of my heart EA, thank you. (Story time)

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 12:24 AM PDT

Back in 1996, I lived in a small town where pc gaming was something made for nerds and people rarely knew what a computer was (yeah Spain back then, in rural areas, knew nothing of pc gaming and consoles were a rich thing). I remember when I was 10, I saved enough with my allowance to buy my first game ever, so we went to a bigger town that had an electronics shop and took a look at pc games to see if I could afford one. This one costed what today would be 12€ and was the only one that I could buy so out of pride and to avoid going home without a game, I bought it knowing nothing about it at all. How would I know what this game would turn out to be? When I first installed it, I discovered what meant playing toy soldiers but "for real". I didn't have to move my soldiers manually, they shot without me doing any "shot noises" and I could play against an enemy without the need of someone else! And they called me commander and answered to my orders! Hell, I was so into the game that I was concerned about making my soldiers die, because I was imagining them as people that had a family, so sacrificing a soldier was a damn hard decision every single time. Sometimes it would take me even days to finish a mission because I couldn't let my men die and then bear the bad news to their families (I was a kid, my imagination was wild). This game accompanied me during all my childhood and beyond. And made me realize how important the lives of our soldiers are (I know, it may sound silly but...)

Nowadays it's the only game that I still play fully at least once a year and has been installed on every single PC I owned.

Seeing this remastered teaser has made me cry of joy. This game is super special for me because it meant so many things. I discovered my synesthesia thanks to it (some images and sounds from the game, specially the sounds, would smell in a very particular way and the smell was so strong that helped me realize later that I had this "condition"). This remastered teaser had the exact same strong smell to me and for the duration of the video, transported me back to those times. So yeah, thank you, thank you A LOT for making this game real. And sorry everyone for the wall of text, I just wanted to let it out and share it with someone who might feel like me.

Sooo, what about the cutscenes in the remaster?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 11:15 PM PDT

Any clue about how will they be remastered? AI enhancement? Does EA have original footage? Will Retaliation exclusive cutscenes be added too?

C&C Soundtracks being used on TV shows

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 10:15 AM PDT

Has anyone heard shows that have used it?

I know the BBC used a piece from C&C3 on one of their segments and Forged in Fire S05E27 used the theme from the Cuba infiltrate mission in RA3 and may have used a GLA soundtrack as well.

Tiberian Sun ☀ - Graphics gone..?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 12:54 AM PDT

    Hi guys

No idea if anyone still plays this game in 2019..

Been playing Tiberian Sun a lot this year. Awesome game IMO.

I remembered the graphics looking much better when it was released. There used to be this 'glow' effect on Tiberian or any area on the map, of interest. Looked so cool and atmospheric.

For example, the area around a lamp post, used the be 'shining' around the area.

Playing Tiberian Sun on XP now a days, and that special effect is no more.

    What happened??
