| Where does "the first decade" version of C&C 95 store it's music files? Posted: 12 Nov 2019 02:20 PM PST trying to find them as i dislike how the "official" soundtrack has extra voice lines on some of the songs. the music files don't appear in the games folder, or are in some format i don't recognize. | Steampunk in C&C the Soviets in RA2 and my Fantheory Posted: 12 Nov 2019 06:56 AM PST Steampunk. If I told you there was steampunk in C&C, what would be your opinion? Did you realise there was steampunk in C&C? Try it. Google "steampunk soldier". Does it look familiar? Maybe I'm late to this, but I found several steampunk elements in the Soviets from RA2. Who uses Kirovs in the 60s, unless steampunk? The Tesla Trooper and Desolator look like they're in heavy diving gear or pressure suits. Take the Conscript for example. The lead pauldrons, lead mask, lead boots? The thick leather gloves? He looks like he's in an old-fashioned diving pressure suit. I'm not sure how receptive the community is here, but I want to take this further into my own pet fantheory. My fantheory is that the Soviets have been developing a massive underwater facility like the one in BioShock. Like the city of Rapture in BioShock but the Soviet version. I think that while the Soviets were fighting the Allies in RA1, an off-shoot faction branched off to develop underwater technology instead and it led to steampunk-genre technology. The Kirov Airships are probably fully loaded with bombs and bomb assembly lines, not helium. Only floating via a Lutece Particle like in BioShock. [link] [comments] | ||
