Caution: C&C Remaster Collector edition preorder "All sales final" Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:08 PM PDT I thought it would be a good idea to give a warning on preordering the two collector's editions from Limited Run Games. I was notified by their support that their policy on pre-orders is "all sales are final" and that they generally don't accept cancellations. I found this out after pre-ordering the Special Edition and deciding to upgrade to the Anniversary Edition instead. I went ahead and bought the AE and requested the first one to be cancelled. To their credit they allowed me to cancel the first order, but noted that it was a special exception and that they don't normally allow it. I figured I would post a heads-up to anyone else here who might be concerned about that. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:17 AM PDT Australian here. Due to exchange rate, shipping and import taxes the 25th anniversary is shaping up to be ~$350. Before committing to living on instant noodles for a month to finance this purchase, I'd love some more information on the scale of the tank and other items. No complaining, it's an amazing project and package. It's just turned out to be quite expensive for some because geography. [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Mar 2020 05:57 PM PDT On this sub, everyone here is a hardcore C&C fan and will gobble up all the news. So there's no need to point it out here. However I spend a lot of time on generic PC gaming subs and other forums where there are casual C&C fans but don't follow the news as closely. You know what the number 1 feedback I see is? "I'm hyped for this and Steam is great, but it'll probably need an Origin install and will have all sorts of DRM, so fuck this." These are two little bullet points that might get lost in the noise. They need to be made out to be MUCH bigger deals than they are. IMO you guys need to elevate these two much more than you currently are and get the word out. EDIT: I get it, if you work for EA I'm sure you technically can't make a huge deal about this in official marketing and stuff. Like..."no Origin install" can't really be a bullet point on their Steam page, for example. I'm sure the lgal department would have a fit. But if Jim mentioned it during his AMA, obviously he's allowed to talk about it. In this case I would spruik it on social media, and the biggest gaming forums like Neogaf and Resetera. Every interview, every chance you get, talk about it. Get that word out there. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:00 PM PDT Hi guys, I just wanted to remind you guys that if we really want to show support for the remastered collection I would recommend buying the game directly from origin since all the money will go back to into ea's wallet rather on steam where steam will take a cut from them for selling their games on steam. I get that it would be an inconvience since you will have to download another game launcher but it would mean more money is going back to devs and us as fans having a higher chance to getting more remasters. It's a little thing but just wantted to put my 2 cents out there. I hope you guys have great day see you guys on 5th June. [link] [comments]

Has there been any effort to preserve the N64 cinematics for use in the Remastered Collection? Posted: 12 Mar 2020 02:59 PM PDT I know it's a little late to the party, but since the N64 Spec Ops missions will be included, has there been any word on capturing the footage of the cinematics from the N64 for them? They may seem a bit silly but they are part of the Command and Conquer heritage and alot of players, such as myself, have really grown attached to the N64 port. They are hard to find on youtube, but I found a few examples. https://youtu.be/N6yEelwK0NE?t=17 I know it's a bit much to ask but please don't write of my suggestion too fast! [link] [comments]
In-game cheats [C&C Remastered] Posted: 12 Mar 2020 07:18 AM PDT Does anyone know if the remaster will feature those cheats from the ps1 version or any kind at all? Would love to change ore to civilians again. It would be cool if we could unlock those cheats as we progress and based on some sort of criteria met. [link] [comments] |
