C&C Tiberium Dawn"The Movie" daydreaming. Posted: 26 Jun 2020 11:02 AM PDT I was just thinking how this story could be a fun movie and aside from some events in later games it wouldn't need much changing. Who would you cast as Kane and Sheppard? Would you open it up fora way to introduce the Red Alert franchise? [link] [comments]

Posted: 26 Jun 2020 11:41 AM PDT Greeting my fellow Commanders! I just wanted to say hi as I am new to reddit. Porbably I am one of the youngest members of the community at only 17 years old but my roots with rts and CnC in particular strech to my early childhood were I would spend countless nights playing TibWars and RA3. You are probably wondering what am I doing here shouldn't he be playing your run of the mill shooter. Well growing I never had a PC with the graphical capability of running Shooters at decent frame rates, so I just stuck with RTS games which are easier on the GPU. Growing up I can confidently say that this wasn't a liability as these games tought me the concepts of strategy and critical thinking something Call of Duty would never do. On a final note, I just wanted to ask a question are there any other teenagers playing CnC these days? Cause I get a lot of teased a lot at school for my video game tastes so I always thought I was the only one. [link] [comments]

Top ten hardest missions in Tiberian Dawn Posted: 26 Jun 2020 02:40 AM PDT Hi. Having beaten all TD missions on the pre-patch Hard difficulty, I thought I'd share my top ten hardest missions. 1: Covert Ops GDI: Twist of Fate The hardest mission for me. You must try to save the two mammoth tanks you start with because they regenerate from low health and you will be able to fend off many early attacks with them. The enemy will attack endlessly from multiple directions, will use airstrikes and nuclear weapons. I destroyed 600 Nod units before having the ability to attack their main base. 2: Nod Campaign: 8A New Construction Options Beating this mission on the previous super hard difficulty was a nightmare. Even just beating the five infantry and tank at the start without losing your rocket infantry was a challenge. Make sure you don't lose any rocket infantry! Capture the base to the west and make many tanks as soon as possible. Use your starting rocket infantry to defeat enemy vehicles. Use flamethrowers to kill enemy infantry. The first ten minutes are the difficult part here. Even on Normal, this mission is no walk in the park. But once you stabilize with enough tanks, you can defend against enemy attacks until you can assault the GDI base. Pick 8B for the easier option (but still tough). 3: Covert Ops GDI: Blindsided You must destroy five enemy Nod bases. The first three bases are easy enough, but once you capture the third base, you will face an endless barrage of attacks. I finally beat it with the air strike, launching it at at one contruction yard and destroying/capturing the other at the same time, you can then remove Nod's two airstrips to stop the attacks and win the game. 4: GDI Campaign: 4BW Reinforce Bialystok Absurd difficulty for such an early campaign mission. The baseless penultimate mission of the GDI campaign is far simpler (just park your troops to the north and snipe most of the Nod army). On the previous super-hard difficulty, you had to save/load after every SINGLE encounter with enemy troops, avoiding as much damage as possible. This is a tough mission even on normal. The similiar baseless Nod Mission, 4B False Flag Operation, was also difficult on hard, but since you don't have to kill everything, it gets a pass. Avoid unless you want to suffer. 5: Console Nod: '97 Special Ops 02 I don't know if I missed something or what, but once you capture the base to the west, GDI will send insanely powerful attacks against you, non-stop. On Hard, I found it quite difficult. Their tech tree is also greater than yours for some reason. Proceed with caution. This was a weird mission because all the other console missions are dead easy. I wonder if there was a trick or something, hmm... 6: Covert Ops Nod: Eviction Notice The start was very annoying on the previous hard difficulty. The single mammoth tank had the power to kill almost every flame tank you have. On Normal, I remember that you could easily be left with five flame tanks. On the super-hard difficulty, you were lucky to be left with two flame tanks. And GDI soon comes with powerful attacks. Turrets are your friend here. Make as many as you need (8+). to counter the Medium Tank and Mammoths that GDI sends at you. The enemy base is crawling with Adv. Guard Towers. You will need a large force to break through and snipe the power plants so the guard towers stop shooting. 7: Covert Ops Nod: Bad Neighborhood Once they discover you, they will send constant, powerful attacks against you, including Mammoth Tanks, Engineers and Commandos. However, you have an ace up your sleeve... the nuclear strike! The GDI base's advanced power plants and war factory are all concentrated in one spot. Blow them up, and you can enter the base without dealing with the Adv. Guard towers. 8: Nod Campaign: 11A Ezekiel's Wheel Nod 11B is much easier because you can use your starting force to destroy the enemy's construction yard and unit production buildings. You can't do that here. Tiberium is miles away from your base and there's not that much of it. You can put an obelisk on the corner of your base to be impervious to attacks. Make sure you get the money from the church. 9: Nod Campaign: 13C Cradle of my Temple If you don't figure out that the base immediately to the right can easily be captured with engineers on your chinook due to the lack of defenses on the western front, you will struggle. Even then, you will struggle. This one is much harder compared to 13A and 13B. 10: Funpark 05 This took me a few tries because there's a weird trick to it. Send any unit near the bridge to the south and many raptors will be given to you from outside the map. This was somewhat difficult on hard, but doable. It's better to lure the nod forces outside their base and kill them there. It seems that Nod runs out of money and then you can just destroy everything. Honorable mentions: GDI Campaign - 8A U.N. Sanctions (their base is hard to break through!), 8B Doctor Mobius (previously, civilians suicided on tiberium...), 9A Clearing a Path (killing the southern turrets with your limited infantry on super-hard required intense micro), 15B Temple Strike (can't access enemy silos easily). Nod Campaign: 4B False Flag Operation (tough baseless mission), 7C Orca Heist (on the previous hard difficulty the rocket troop in the town was stronger than your orca lol). Covert Ops: Deceit (good use of chinook, commando and nuclear weapon is key) [link] [comments]

Anyway to mass deploy chrono tanks is RA Remaster? Posted: 26 Jun 2020 03:14 PM PDT According to the patch notes the deploy key works with chrono tanks (and all vehicles that utilize the deploy key), but I cannot get it to work with multiple selected. The way I read the patch notes it made it sound like we should be able to deploy multiple at once. Anyone know if I am doing something wrong or if we just aren't able to deploy multiple at once? Thanks [link] [comments]
Can someone help walk me off the ledge? Posted: 26 Jun 2020 10:46 AM PDT I'm playing the remastered on Nod 8b and just getting absolutely bulldozed. I've been stuck on this mission for a week now and I'm about to uninstall the game it's so fucking unfun. I'm playing on normal speed and normal difficulty. I can't keep up with the units being thrown at me as half my units kill each other or get run over by the tanks, my harvesters get constantly blown up by airstrikes, and I'm at my wits end. This is without a doubt the worst RTS experience I've ever had and its insanely frustrating as I love the RTS genre and the tiberium setting Can ANYONE help me out here [link] [comments]
What's up with NOD mission 8 on hard? Posted: 26 Jun 2020 02:29 PM PDT Doesn't matter which of the two versions you pick, mission 8 seems impossible to beat. Securing the base is all good, but then you've kicked the hornets nest. Without any money or time to build, GDI sends wave after wave. Grenadiers, Humvee's, tanks and just to make it even more difficult, you get hit by airstrikes. Also, everyone seems hellbent on getting your harvester. I like a challenge, but this is borderline insane. The strange thing is though, if I look at other people playing on YouTube (old version of the game) they have it a lot easier. I don't understand what's up really. Anyone else having trouble with this mission? [link] [comments] |
