| Posted: 15 Jan 2021 03:10 PM PST Essentially, the commander gets to work from inside a command base and order things and play per usual, except, it's in VR!! Now to the real business. I want to play a soldier/commando type who goes from place to place as ordered or of my own free will and can call in various things that are needed for the commander to respond to with a "Can do" or a "sorry, not gonna' happen". I'm thinking of a renegade style even seeing as I still look to that game for inspiration on things that I enjoy playing. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 14 Jan 2021 07:19 PM PST In the years preceding the Second World War the Soviet Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin launched an invasion of Mongolia and Japanese-controlled Manchuria with the former easily being captured without little to no resistance by the soviets. The Japanese at Khalkin Gol however put up a hard fought battle but ultimately got overwhelmed, and with the remnants of the Japanese Army in Manchuria retreating into the Korean peninsula. The Chinese Nationalist Army soon took the opportunity to strike at the last remaining disorientated Japanese forces n Mainland China, crippling them and eventually leading to the collapsing the Kwantung Army. The remaining forces in Korea were nearly pushed out of Mainland Asia with the Soviets capturing the northern portion of the Peninsula. The Japanese government eventually signed a peace treaty with the Soviets but ultimately knocking a heavy a blow to Japan, in which they'll never recover from. In 1945 the IJA in Southern Korea ultimately collapsed, leading to a new independent Korean Republic. The Japanese government after the conflict with the Soviets and eventual collapse of it's Korean colony ultimately became weak and in the following years slowly started loosing control over it's own citizens, eventually in the interwar years gradually turning Japan into a a semi-Anarchist state. In the 60s the Japanese Government requested funds and m from the United States which led to re-organizing the country, re- building the economy and re-equipping its military. The IJA at the time possessed alarmingly antiquated weaponry most notably it's Grasshopper Light Tank, though incredibly maneuverable and had excellent range, it had close to paper thin armor with it's armament near incapable of piercing Modern tank armor, espacially against the Soviet Armadillo Heavy Tank. The IJAF was merely inferior to against any Air Force during the time, with only it's new F-4 Phantom Attack Bomber/Interceptor being at least capable enough to engage enemy land and air targets. It also had an arsenal of unconventional weapons with different varying capabilities. Due to the lack of development of any proper Anti-Tank equipment, Japanese infantry had to resolve to attaching Anti-Tank Mines to long poles and attempt to lunge to an enemy vehicle, essentially turning it into a suicide weapon. It's Navy suffered the biggest blow, with the crumbling economy and lack of funds to properly maintain a majority of it's Navy the IJN had to ultimately scrap its capital ships, and mostly rely on it's smaller, obsolete, Monitors and Destroyers for coastal defense. With funds flooding in from the US Government, the IJN can now continue it's secret development of a heavy long-range weapon called the Railgun (a missile or a rocket installed on a railing and being propelled to a great distance), and with the capacity of maintaining it's capital ships, the Experimental Railgun was mounted to a Battleship to test the capabilities of the weapon. (Cuts again to another news article headline , this time, showing another Nod Militant in beach wear opening fire. ) W3N Print: Holiday in paradise , ruined by Nod terrorists with bad taste in beachwear. (Cuts again to show another news article, picturing a female Nod Militant in a cosplay outfit from Go! Princess Pretty Cure, more specifically the character of Cure Mermaid standing guard outside a Nod base. ) Truth of the Overlord. Native female warrior belonging to faction identified as 'Brotherhood of Nod' in cosplay outfit belonging to pop cultural entertainment media titled 'Pretty Cure' . Picture making rounds amongst Foremen as humour/meme fodder. We had that image of a female Militant in a PreCure cosplay outfit making the rounds even in the Visitors and I think that turned our Militants into a laughing stock. So, please at least dress sensibly for the love of Tiberium and the Messiah. (We see a technician in a Nod refinery, monitoring the processes inside the building when suddenly there is a sudden stoppage of the processes needed to refine Tiberium offloaded from a Harvester. He then put two and two together, and walks outside the Refinery, seeing a bunch of Militants, of course who underwent Divination swimming in the processing pool) "Damn, Militants with Tiberium Infusions, stop using the processing pits of Refineries as your personal swimming pools! You are hindering the Tiberium quotas we have to meet for the Brotherhood of Nod!" #6.
