Tank drifting has become extremely annoying. Also deploy vs double click for the same unit type Posted: 19 Mar 2021 04:17 AM PDT I recently start to attempt to clear all RA missions (main campaign, CS/AM) on hard difficulty. It is a rough and painful journey for me, but tank drifting, something that has been like that since day 1, start to become more annoying than before. The old game does not have this at all. Why Remastered adds this? It's not like something very useful, only to make tank control more unpredictable For me. This, plus lack of money, makes a lot of hard missions almost impossible to beat, cause I tend to lose way more tanks than I originally thought. For those who think it might not be a big deal, when a tank drifts, it will not take any more moving command until drifting is completed, which means they can be picked off by defences, enemy tanks or worse, piles of infantry (Hard mode AI use splits way better than I would believe). Seeing that the dev team seems to have left the community to maintain the game (no more communication since game launch and some bug fixes), I am not sure if I can hope someone fixing this behaviour. Original game does not have this behaviour in case you are wondering. And something about double click. In Remastered, double click selects all units of the same type, which is also the Action to select and deploy units. Yes, I can use hotkey to deploy but maybe this can be adjusted? If dev still pays attention to this game maybe there is some hope, but I am not sure. [link] [comments] | ||

Let's ge down to the numbers, how many copies needed to be sold for EA's C&C to be successful? Posted: 18 Mar 2021 06:26 PM PDT And here is the sad objective measure no one wants to talk but it's the main reason why things happen. Money. And if there is any indication, EA has always needed games to be sold in 7 digits to get the money back and be considered profitable, to the point people think their expectations were absolutely absurd. I remember PlanetCnC reported C&C3 sold more than a million copies within the first months of release, for any other game just 200,000 would have been considered a respectable success, but for EA? To give you some perspective Dead Space 3 needed 5 million copies to be sold to be considered successful, and the franchise was ultimately canned because "poor sales", that is 605,000 copies in America, by comparison, say, Nier Automata, managed to get 500,000 in Asia during its initial release and it took it 3 years to achieve 5 million copies sold, yet it was considered a massive success which revitalized Square Enix and ensured the creation of new titles, while I am not going to compare the development requirements between both games it's clear that something is not wrong with EA's development costs. So yeah, how much does it cost to keep a C&C afloat? [link] [comments] |
