| Red Alert 2 lags while scrolling Posted: 17 Mar 2021 09:56 AM PDT Hey guys, I've just picked up a copy of Red Alert 2 through Origin and am having a compatibility issue with my modern PC. I've looked through pcgamingwiki and made a few tweaks but I've still got one problem remaining. Game runs fine while camera is stationary but as soon as I start scrolling it gets pretty choppy. I think the camera is trying to accelerate and decelerate as it begins moving and that's what's causing the issue, but that's just a guess. Any advice on getting better performance? | Replacement Map for Tournament Desert (Quickmatch Tiberian Dawn) Posted: 16 Mar 2021 05:59 PM PDT Replacement Map for Tournament Desert (Quickmatch Tiberian Dawn) With the Tiberian Dawn Quickmatch Mappool in a pretty decent state (since previous patch), many players within in the competitive multiplayer community do wish for especially one map to be replaced (due to imbalance in gdi vs nod). As the support window for client updates has passed, the only option would be to replace this map with an existing map (that is already in the game files of the client). To do this, only a small server update is needed, In an effort to kindly ask EA to please make this one map change for us, I've created a poll for us to decide which map would hopefully become the chosen one. Please select which of the following (already existing maps) has to be the replacement map for Tournament Desert:

Kane proved to be a very successful and merciful leader to his citizens. In fact, he held a fertility festival right after they finally settle their homes in the Planet, increasing the population tenfold and greatly contributing to the heaven-like life of the citizens there. Any problems are solved quickly, and corrupt officials mysteriously disappear before they even think about destroying their own country. It was, until someone rises from another world. Yuri, coming from another planet, declares war against and invading Planet Nod, deeming Kane a threat to his own Planet, also named Yuri. Meanwhile, a humanoid species, the Hebeleid, settling on a Kepler-type planet, led by none other than Abel himself vowed revenge against Kane for killing him and has built an immense army dedicated to crushing his nation. Abel has waited eons for this to happen, and he will never waste everything and is willing to take everything Kane took from him, namely his life. | Posted: 16 Mar 2021 10:27 PM PDT Due to Cabals origin as a creation of Kane, cabal is at least to some degree holy. I would think that all of cabals drones and cyborg units are technically holy by extension. This also technically makes legion and the marked of Kane holy as well. So while Cabal was killing everyone during the firestorm crisis it was technically a holy war by a holy being. What do you all think of my somewhat crackpot idea ? [link] [comments] | ||||||||||||

| Any newer RTS games out there?? Posted: 16 Mar 2021 06:28 PM PDT I have all the C&C games.. Starcraft etc.. and put hundreds of hours into them. Are there any new RTS games? like 2018+? I want a game like C&C, Dune 2000 and Starcraft only new? Has nobody made a new RTS game in the last 10 years? Someone suggested AOW or Mount and Blade.. I don't consider those in the same genre. They are too big and too many enemies. I like the three faction setup of the previously mentioned games. I want to build cities/bases, create units and then dominate. [link] [comments] |
