Command & Conquer: Blue Alert is available now - play the Red Alert Campaigns cooperatively! Posted: 08 Jun 2021 12:37 PM PDT The first release of Command & Conquer: Blue Alert is available now, containing a cooperative version of the Allied campaign of the original Red Alert. The Soviet campaign will be released within the next couple of weeks. This map pack features the original missions, now modified to accommodate two players. Kilkakon, the creator of Dawn of Tomorrow, kindly helped me playtesting the missions. You can find an ongoing playthrough of the map pack here and here, if you are curious how it plays. Note: only the CNCNet version of Red Alert has the feature that allows this kind of cooperative play. I'm playing this series for the first time in my life Posted: 08 Jun 2021 04:05 PM PDT I'm obviously playing the first game that's part of the Remastered Collection on Origin. I do like the game's innovations and its mix of live-action and CGI cutscenes, even if the video resolution is very poor because HD cameras didn't exist back then and I'm assuming the original negatives for that footage is lost which would make remastering the FMV's very difficult. Without spoiling the story, can you confirm if the look of the map changes? I did about six levels today and every one of them took place on a regular grassy field and not much difference other than its layout and placements of enemies and bases. Does the game switch up the look after a little while. I also am encountering a game-breaking bug where the screen will just turn black for no reason and I can't even Ctrl+Alt+Del my way out of it, yet I can still hear the game running. Is there a way to fix this? I am new to this game so I don't want a game-breaking bug ruining my initial experience. [link] [comments] | ||

Is CNC Remastered ever getting a CnCNet Client? Posted: 08 Jun 2021 05:21 AM PDT I'm honestly quite fond of the fact that I can still Q for quickmatches in this game without waiting for half an hour. My main problem is the maps. Petroglyph left us with a set of maps in which half of them sucks and there's hardly any gameplay diversity. Shallow grave was a frustrating map from time to time but it played so differently from the others that it made the game feel refreshing. Now we're stuck with shit like bullseye, ore rift and tournament arena forever. Basically forcing you to play for base trade most of the times. It became quite stale. I was actually counting on the community to integrate this game into the CnCNet or CNC online client but I guess that's not gonna happen? [link] [comments] | ||

Playing against GLA and get swarmed by a constant stream of missile troops within 30 seconds of starting the match and they outrange everything so you have to constantly pushup.
