Posted: 31 Jul 2021 11:17 AM PDT Hear me out: In order to make aircraft based play work, you would usually need ground units to weaken enemy air defenses. You would also need ground units to hold areas so your harvesting units can fuel the expensive economy the aircraft requires. A task which most attack aircraft are ill suited for given their fragile nature. You would also need effective target vision, something which stealthy and quick and cheap ground units are better suited for than jets. You would also need heavy units so your airfields, helipads arent blown to bits, which is usually tanks. Which you could just build more tanks and steamroll your enemies. Aircraft also consume an unspoken resource/s : Time and attention. In order to take full advantage of aircraft, you need to micromanage them. Take the time to monitor their health and ammo and positioning. You only need to do half of that when you're handling ships or tanks. Time and attention is a crucial resource as mismanaging this even for a bit can cause you to lose a crucial engineer or anything else important EDIT: Which is probably why Kirovs and Harbingers are so powerful because they are barely bound by the constraints the average aircraft faces [link] [comments] | ||

LAN Mode not working CNC Remastered Posted: 31 Jul 2021 11:37 AM PDT Hey Devs and Fans I love playing CNC since I was a kid and got this game day one. Now my 11 year old is wanting to play with me! However, I can't get LAN mode to work correctly. Using steam when I go into LAN mode and host (with desktop or laptop) and go to join in the other computer it doesn't work. In a sense what I think is going on is the name is the issue, i.e. when I join the game as steam name it doesn't allow two names that are the same. Any work arounds for this? I tried posting this about a month ago but so far no one has been able to address. My take why have LAN mode if it doesn't work locally? [link] [comments] | ||
