- How to edit C&C1?
- How does C&C3 perform on modern computers? Does it need many "cncnet-style" tools to get working well?

Posted: 25 Feb 2020 02:51 AM PST Got the game as a bundle for cheap on origin store. Essentially I am just playing the game again for nostalgia reasons. Played it when it was new, and not since then. Now I cannot get past a certain mission (one of those base-less ones) and am looking for some kind of way to edit the stats of the vehicle and get past this mission (and then return to default stats for the next mission). Google turns up nothing. Wondering if anyone here has links to an editor. Like rules.ini for RA1/2 preferably but any kind of way to edit my way past this mission would be awesome, thanks! Posted: 25 Feb 2020 06:35 AM PST I had no idea this game was any good. I had written off most of the later C&C titles, so imagine my surprise when I learned this was actually highly regarded. Anyway...how much work does it take to get this running well? For reference, I know a lot of people are dismissive about bugs but I'm not one of them. For example I remember mentioning here, to avoid the Alt+Tab bug in Generals you needed a mod, but someone here replied..."well just don't alt+tab". Sorry but I'm not one of those people that can overlook something like that and consider a game "mostly playable". My definition of "mostly playable" is much more anal than some peoples'. I consider RA2 with Cncnet to be the gold standard in making a retro game playable on modern systems. How does C&C3 compare? Secondly, will this game make use of multi-core CPU's? I like to turtle sometimes, and I was so saddened to find out a lot of old games still run like trash when your army gets big (e.g. Company of Heroes 1 and 2, SC: Forged Alliance). If I turtle in this game, is my framerate going to take a nose dive? [link] [comments]
Red Alert 3 - Trouble with multiplayer on Xbox One Posted: 25 Feb 2020 08:30 AM PST So a friend of mine and I both bought RA3 from the marketplace with the intention of playing some multiplayer games together (we're both on Xbox One) and although we can make lobbies and join together, when we launch the game the lobby leader has an endless loading screen and the other player gets a black screen. I've found that if my friend quits the game during the loading then my game will immediately load into game, so something is wrong. Is it still possible to play online multiplayer? I read something about servers being shut down, but not sure. [link] [comments]
