I received my Collectors Edition Posted: 16 Oct 2020 12:15 PM PDT I'm a little disappointed in it to be honest. One of the patches on my touque is sowed on backwards and the Obliesk doesn't work. I was also hoping the Mammoth Tank was going to be, well, Mammoth. It's pretty small :-( Guess I'll stay away from future Collectors Editions for other games in the future. Where could I get a digital copy of Generals? Posted: 16 Oct 2020 02:36 PM PDT I've not played it in years and I've wanted to play again. I do have a cd copy of it but it's old and I don't trust installing ancient games with the new OS's like 10. Is it on Origin or anything? Question about graphics - Steam Posted: 16 Oct 2020 10:36 AM PDT Hi everyone! I need your help! My dad has been playing C&C for 20 years. He has all the games on cd. Unfortunately, his old PC doesn't work anymore, it's really old with windows XP. I'd like to help him buy a new PC, so he can use Steam and download the games. My question is do you have any experience with a Intel Integrated HD Graphics 630? Do you think it'll work? I have seen the requirements on the Steam website but it doesn't mention onboard graphics. Do people actually like the campaign in Command and Conquer: Remastered? I really can't find it in me to enjoy it. Posted: 15 Oct 2020 07:13 PM PDT I've tried both TD and RA and they're just not very enjoyable in my eyes, there's a running theme of being told to keep a specific unit alive, or a small selection, and they have next to zero HP. When I've asked people, most of the strategy has involved running in a specific path to avoid enemies. Trying to manually control each unit is a nightmare, and the experience in just feels very awkward and rough. I've not had this much trouble in any other Command and Conquer game. That isn't to say they weren't difficult, but I felt I was able to learn the ropes a little better and it was easier to control and move my way around - even escort missions and ones where you have to keep a single unit alive. I know they're dated games and EA didn't want to change the way they played, but I just don't have the patience for them. Maybe it's just because I don't have the nostalgia everyone else does?
