    Red Alert Remastered - still getting lags / frame drops in Online Multiplayer

    Hi everyone,
    purchased the remastered collection a week ago (Origin) and unfortunately for me the game still is not really playable.

    I am getting framedrops / lags throughout the whole game. Does not differ if i'm hosting or joining a game.
    Units seem to freeze for half a seconds and the jump to the next position.
    Friend of mine with the same ISP does not have the issue.

    In Skirmish all is fine.

    Got a wired connection, fibre connection at home.
    Brand new gaming rig with rtx 3090 and ryzen5900, 32gig ram.
    Running Win10 64bit
    SSD of course

    Any thoughts on that? Maybe try reinstall again?

    I don't care if i have to download it illegally as long as the source is trusted n works i just wanna relive my childhood memories because this is my favorite game of all time but i can't to seem to find it anywhere

    What a tiberium sun remaster or remake needs. Warning long list of bugs and missing things that needs fixing.

    Edit: I made a mistake in not clarifying. Many of the things I mention before were cut things from tiberian sun. Leaving them aside would be logical because many of them are somewhat redundant.

    So they shouldn't be necessarily present in a remaster but it's worth to mention them.

    So:

    The basic light infantry shp actually was that of GDI.

    Nod didn't have its own shp. So Nod would need its own shp for light infantry. Same goes for engineers, sensor arrays, SAM sites. GDI needs a new model for the harvester.

    Both sides need unique models for the hunter seeker.

    Also, viceroids and fiends and usual tiberium life was colored grey, like the civilian faction. Which didn't make sense. Viceroids and fiends should have been green because of tiberium.

    Tiberian sun has lots of bugs that were fixed in red alert 2

    In tiberium sun, walls don't block fire from tanks and infantry. You can shoot through walls.

    missiles can't track and always explode,never hitting a target.

    Tiberium gathering animation doesn't change when harvesting blue tiberium.

    Missing GDI airstrike.

    Missing mutant commandos as reinforcement. You capture a mutant tech structure, and get mutant refinricement and or be able to build mutants. Mutants would be way more powerful and able to heal in tiberium.

    Missing GDI weed cleaver. Unit that destroys veins.

    Meteorites spawn tiberium veins or vein creatures and they spread fast.

    missing drops ship logic for missions,

    missing firestorm generator lowering and raising the core when the charge goes lower or higher.

    No area of effect damage against buildings. An ion cannon does 1x1 damage vs buildings. But 3x3 against tanks and infantry.

    Missing logic on cliffs. Infantry can shoot and kill from below the cliff stuff above a cliff. This goes for tanks aswell.

    Missing logic on hunterseekers. You should be able to choose what they will hunt like infantry or tanks or buildings.

    Missing powers like meteor storm, airstrike, mutant, reinforcements.

    Devils tongue damages itself and gets blocked by hills.

    Disruptors can shoot through cliffs.

    Mammoth mk2 walker has wrong weapon placement. Also, it's supposed to have three weapons. A gun, rail gun and sams. Due to engine limitations only has two.

    Also, rail gun gets blocked by hills.

    Ion storms should disable sonic tanks, stealth generators or stealthed units.

    EMP cannons should be unique to both sides. Uses the nod model for GDI aswell.

    EMP cannons should be use able by the AI.

    Cyborg reapers should able to turn captured infantry into cyborgs.

    Able to choose the type of drop pod infantry.

    Missing rocket soldiers for GDI

    Missing chemical trooper for Nod.

    Missing elite cadre camo for Nod. It uses the camo for the chemical trooper. Nod mission unit in firestorm. Should actually be a regular nod unit imho that is stealth.

    Chameleon spy cut.

    Missing cameo for mutant hijacker, uses the cameo for chameleon spies.

    And probably my favorite

    Tech buildings being sold has no bearing on the build able units. You can still build stealth tanks after you sold the tech center. A bug with the tiberian sun engine or missing feature.

    GDI upgrade center shouldn't exist. The radar should have two plugs. The upgrade center was a dropshiop bay where you could requisition units at a higher cost but have then delivered immediately.

    Nod missile silo doesn't open when firing chemical or cluster missiles.

    Spot light towers having actually follow units with spotlights, and buff any other units nearby by increasing their damage or range.

    Day night cycle. Units in the night have reduced range or damage.

    Missing cabal faction.

    Removed upgrade logic for GDI defenses. Imho, you should be able to build GDI vulcan, rpgs and sams immediately instead of building component towers.

    And imho, critical Tiberian sun bugs:

    In the vanila game, if a disruptor was using its weapon and you happened to cut through the bottom part of the screen, it caused an interal error.

    You cannot have lasers or obelisk lasers glow or draw the thick laser line because the same would happen as above. Cut the bottom part of the screen and get a IE

    Another critical one is units getting destroyed while moving between tiles. If a unit is destroyed between moving from let's say cell A to Cell B, the cell A or B would become permanently blocked and inaccesable.

    Furthermore it would block units trying to cross the cell or tile. The result is path finding issues and worse.

    There are probably more, check ppmsiteforums, but tiberian sun is absolutely imho unfit for a remaster.

    It needs to be based off of openRA or red alert 2 engine with ares.

    It has way too many bugs.

    Hello all, I found my old Generals cds and tried to see if I could install and play it on my old laptop. The install went ok, however my disc 1 for zero hour was pretty scratched and eventually it worked and I was able to install. I need the disc 1 to play the game and it can read enough to give me the launch menu but it never actually loads the game. I tried getting the scratches off the disc and also tried making a disc image and neither of those have been successful. Am I SOL or is there something I can do to get Generals up and running?
